SR FIELD APPLICATION ENGINEER

Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Field Application Engineering Teams work intimately with customers to recommend products and solutions for new and existing applications. They identify new applications, requirement modifications and enhancements to meet customer specifications and conduct on-site installation and service of product and are responsible for all technical aspects of the sales cycle for potential application of company products to meet customer needs, including identifying opportunities; determining solutions; creating demand; preparing detailed product specifications and technical marketing support; ensuring high quality and timely project execution and conducting follow-up technical support. They also approve operational quality of systems and equipment.

Overview

The Field Application Engineer need to service multiple accounts and co-work with account manager to meet business target of each account. He/she should take their own responsibility and work independently. He/she should approach new opportunities and solve all engineering issue during design activities. Professional knowledge of connector/cable is necessary, and he/she also need to have capability to understand customer system. He/she need to team work with account manager and internal team to ensure the success of business. He/she also need to solve engineering issue after project goes mass production. He/she also need to have presentation skill to introduce product roadmap.

Responsibilities:

• Teamwork with account manager to design win TE product in customer system
• Work directly with customer to resolve technical issues including Server, Storage, Networking, IPC and computer peripherals product
• Track, respond and manage customer's technical inquiries
• Make communication between customer engineer and internal engineering team
• Technical Seminar/Product promotion & training for customers
• Create new concept and proposal for customers
• Develop and maintain professional relationship with customers

Qualifications

• Experience with one of following criterion:
• FAE experience at least 3 years
• Connector design experience at least 3 years
• Server, Storage, Networking product design experience at least 3 years
• 2D/3D CAD skill is required.
• Ability to speak a technical and a business language.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel and work in a global team of professionals.
• Fluent English skill for both writing and speaking.
• Good computer and project management skills.
