Job Overview

 

TE Connectivity's Distribution & Logistics Teams manage the efficient flow of goods, services and information between point of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements or internal business objectives. They create integrated processes among internal functions such as operations, purchasing and logistics, and outside suppliers. They also focus resources on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through various production processes, and establish key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning/forecasting to measure actual performance against goals on a regular basis.

Tasks Summary & Responsibilities

 

  • Serve as global centralized subject matter expert for Logistics Transformation Projects for the Global Auto business unit. Lead the efforts from diagnosis, implement, sustain till improve key logistics transformation process maturities.
  • Drive Efficiency in Inbound Freight Management by focussing on Supplier freight, Modes of Transportation, Inco Terms, Process & Data improvement, Roles & Responsibilities in close collaboration with Procurement and Planning team. Ensure Improvement in freight efficiency for upstream freight.
  • Drive and execute New Logistics Efficiency projects like New Modes, Parcel Surcharge, Domestic & Road, Out of Network Flow etc.to improve time to market and freight spend efficiency. Support execution of key projects to ensure smooth transition to new proposed model with NIL disruption to business.
  • Provide support for execution of key Packaging initiatives in collaboration with global Logistics and Regional Supply Chain team (Packaging Enhancements, Standardization, Container Load Optimization, Pack Density, Packaging sustainability etc.)
  • Effective Project schedule management and tracking to ensure Logistics transformation project is running as per schedule and highlight & resolve issues proactively to ensure completion in time.
  • Support preparation for key Global and Regional projects like S4 HANA, WMS, Duty Optimization projects etc.
  • Strong leadership skills to lead skill-network across regions to define transformation roadmap and cross BU sharing. Meanwhile as business process owner to drive the tactical execution of processes, ensure critical stakeholders are engaged, decisions are made, and execution plan are followed closely.

Education Degree


Bachelor or master’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business Administration or related field.

Professional Experience

 

  • Minimum 15 years direct experience in Logistics & Supply Chain e.g. Supply chain design, logistics, procurement, or Operations. Global exposure is a plus.
  • Experience in Factory Operations, Inbound Freight Management, Integrated Supply Chain Management and Procurement in a complex multi plant global supply network
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP, SAP IBP, TMS, WMS or relevant end to end planning & logistics tool in a global environment.
  • APICS, Lean certification, IBF or equivalent certification is a plus
  • Project Management Experience in driving key Logistics Transformation projects in a global set up.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in managing a transformation initiative, process and system implementation project with solid business improvement result with cross-functional teams.
