The FAE will serve as a technical resource for our customers’ engineers and program / platform managers by providing technical expertise, design work, product application information, and general support for strategic customers. The selected engineer will be a significant interface between TE Connectivity’s sales and engineering organizations and our customers.

 

New Grad Training

  • Training on TE Connectivity Products and industry architectures
  • Training on Prototype Designing and building
  • Sample ordering, shipping, and tracking
  • Shadowing customer visits within the US
  • Introduction to manufacturing technologies
  • Introduction to product and program management
  • Introduction to industry standards

What your background should look like:

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Be the background support for Americas Field Application Engineering Team as part of your training and preparation for advancement
  • Manage in-house concepting and prototype builds working with TE's industry leading 3d printing lab and machine shop
  • Analyze Customer needs, matching them to current TE product or propose modifications to current product and/or propose new product development to R&D Engineering
  • Function as the technical interface between the customer’s engineers and the TE engineering community on all existing products as well as focus on new product development opportunities
  • Support a cross-functional, global team specific to the customer. The team may consist of a Program Manager, Quality Engineering, Logistics, Procurement, Operations, and Sales.
  • Work closely with internal engineering teams to ensure that they are meeting the customers’ needs and be a conduit to the customer
  • Represent and be an advocate for the customer
  • Support product & process qualifications
  • Support existing applications and products including tolerance analysis, application evaluation, and testing
  •  Leading and documenting customer meetings and calls
  • Travel will be 10% or less

 

Skills, Experience and Education

  • BS degree in Engineering required:  Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, and Project Management Degrees apply
  • Great organizational skills
  • Excellent people skills and presentation capabilities both in person and virtually
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • Self-Initiating and good at follow up skills
  • Strong problem solving, strategic and tactical thinking, analytical skills  and Knowledge of MS-Office. 

 

Preferred

  • Ideal candidate will be interested in relocating to Austin Texas, San Francisco California, or Seattle Washington in about 1 year after onboarding in Harrisburg, PA.  Relocation at that time would be funded by TE

Compensation

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $64,960 – $97,440 year (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
