Job Overview  

As ​an Intern​ in the ​Global TEIS​ Business Unit, you will: 

  • Manage the existing cloud data platform to make it more scalable, reliable and cost efficient. 
  • Understand current DevOps processes and suggest improvements. 
  • Understand current Data Integration and ETL tools and services used and work with Solution architects. 
  • Understand and suggest ways to deploy cloud-based machine learning services 
  • Upskill in other areas of Data and Analytics as needed 

Responsibilities 

Understand and Implement CI/CD Pipelines 

Gain a comprehensive understanding of Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) methodologies, and tools such as Jenkins, Github, CloudFormation.  

Monitoring and understanding Cloud native services. 

Learn how to develop scripts using AWS Lambda, Python to monitor and control cost for the cloud native services (e.g., compute instances (AWS EC2), database services [RedShift, Athena, Arura], Data processing engines [EMR, AWS DMS, HUDI] )  

Exposure Data Integration Techniques: 

Work with Data Engineers and Solution Architects to gain knowledge about ETL processes (Extract, Transform, Load) and learn how to apply Devops for ETL pipeline.  

Exposure to ML Engineering and Advance Analytics Tools: 

Gain exposure to advanced data analytics techniques and understand how to leverage cloud-based machine learning services (e.g., Amazon SageMaker, Lamda, AWS Glue) to deploy Data Science model.  

You’re the kind of person we are looking for if you: 

  • Have Received a High School Diploma or GED 
  • Are currently enrolled in a program or pursuing a ​BA/BS or MA/MS​ Degree in ​Information Technology (IT)​ , ​Data Analytics​ or ​Computer Science​ from an accredited college or university or have equivalent work history. (In certain circumstances, students who are taking a gap year will be considered.) 
  • Have previous internship or large project experience is preferred 
  • Are authorized to work in the U.S.

Compensation  
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $18.20 – 38.64/hour (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

Our program provides a holistic experience for interns that targets professional development and personal growth. 

Our internship program typically runs May thru August and gives students the opportunity to work on projects that contribute to the success of their team and build on their classroom experience. Throughout the 10–12-week program, interns will be provided with:

•            Executive Exposure

Timeline
TE Connectivity recruits on campus between September and March for New Grad (FT), Rotational, Internship and Co-op positions beginning in May. Once you have applied to a position, your resume and application will be reviewed. If you are selected to move to the next step in the application process, you will be contacted by a recruiter. Once you accept an offer, the onboarding process will begin in January for interns who have committed to offers in the fall semester and upon acceptance for interns who have committed to offers in the spring semester.
