Job Overview

TE Connectivity is looking for a skilled Machining Technician to support the Operations TEam at our Rapho Park manufacturing facility in Manheim, PA.  This position will report to the Operations Manager and will be involved a broad range of processes such as: 

  • Machining – Milling 
  • Machining – Swiss CNC 
  • Heat Treat/Annealing 
  • Tool selection/production 

 
Key Responsibilities: 

  • Support Operations with equipment set-up, operator training, and preventive maintenance of processes to meet scheduled deliveries.  May be assigned direct production role as necessary to meet or exceed customer request dates. 
  • Perform troubleshooting and continuous improvement activities in the areas assigned. 
  • Ergonomics and safety improvements 
  • Scrap reduction 
  • Downtime reduction 
  • Rate improvement 
  • Collaborate between quality, engineering and production during design reviews, PFMEA’s, and first article builds. 
  • Complete process/product development projects including Engineering Sample Requests. 
  • Support capital equipment projects by specifying and implementing new manufacturing equipment/techniques. 
  • Maintain strong attention to detail, while working with a sense of urgency. 
  • Handle multiple responsibilities and react quickly to changing priorities with flexibility and willingness. 
  • Participate in quotes to accurately estimate assembly rates and required equipment. 


The position is Monday to Friday 1st shift 6 am to 4 pm with flexibility as needed -  On call availability is required.
 

This position requires access to information that is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR).   Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent residents, persons granted asylee status in the U.S., or persons admitted into the U.S. as a refugee.   
 

What your background should look like:

3-5 years of relevant work experience in a production setting 

Requires judgement and basic problem-solving skills to accomplish tasks 

Experience in a manufacturing Quality Management System like AS9100, ISO-9001:2015, etc 

Ability to work with general guidance on new assignments and creatively adapt procedures, techniques, and/or equipment to meet job requirements. 

Preferred Experience: 

CAD experience a plus 

Experience working with Makino Milling machines is desirable 

Mastercam software experience is preferred 

Certification in a Tooling discipline or manufacturing expertise is desired 

Strong knowledge of troubleshooting methods such as LEAN or Six Sigma 

Experience programming and operating electrical test equipment. 

Familiar with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience:$49,680 – $74,520 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
