Job Overview
Tasks and Responsibilities
Strategy
• Contribute to meeting IEL Engineering targets.
Execution
• Design and development of products to meet performance and manufacturing suitability specifications. This includes printing, material performance, and environmental requirements.
• Engage with customers and sales on new product concepts.
• Work with local universities and colleges to provide knowledge and resource to support project exploration.
• Support the transfer of new product designs to MDE to support operations (identification for Grenoble and tangier plants)
• Identify NPD concepts and present these ideas.
• Co-ordinate with Test Labs (internal/external) for product testing. Create qualification plans for product validation.
• Provide product life cycle support. Approval and part management activities to support sustaining and NPD projects.
• Provide new proposals and contribute to material productivity targets (TEBIT/VAVE). Work on product optimization and cost improvements to improve product competitiveness.
• Represent engineering in multifunctional project teams.
• Design responsibilities: creating/maintaining fit, form & function of parts.
• Work within TEOA-E and use the processes and tools therein and other TE best practices.
• Support Engineering data integrity within TE.
• Provide cross BU product support as required.

What your background should look like:
• Engineer with university degree or equivalent with subject area: Engineering sciences, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or degree in physics
• 2+ years’ experience in Engineering and Project assignments
• Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical skills, and communication skills
• Ability to demonstrate strong customer focus and continues improvement attitude
• Good project management skills and ability to multi-task
• Ability to work in a matrix environment with multi-cultural teams
• Ability to collaborate and contribute within teams.
• Ability to learn and understand the marketplace, seek out trends and contribute to technology road map.
• Specialized knowledge in printing technology, material science, physics, mechanics and plastics
• Statistical knowledge (Six Sigma, SPC, MSA, AIAG and other statistical standards)
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Good English knowledge, verbal and in writing (also for presenting)
• Good to have – DFSS Green Belt
