Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Distribution & Logistics Teams manage the efficient flow of goods, services and information between point of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements or internal business objectives. They create integrated processes among internal functions such as operations, purchasing and logistics, and outside suppliers. They also focus resources on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through various production processes, and establish key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning/forecasting to measure actual performance against goals on a regular basis.

Your responsibilities

  • Support PC&L Manager in different duties
  • Deputy of PC&L Manager
  • Develop, engage and lead the PC&L team to support the business needs and objectives

Ensure customer satisfaction:

  • Control daily activities, anticipate customer requirements and maintain good customer relations.

    
Control logistics processes:

  • Control daily activities, prepare and propose manufacturing plan (Sales and Operations Plan) 
  • Monitor logistics performance and implement required improvement actions as needed in collaboration with other functions in the plant (Quality Assurance, PSE, etc.).
  • Participate in the development of the PC&L network in the appropriate area of the company.
  • Participate for enforcing health and safety regulations, safety regulations, delegated entrepreneurial duties, environmental regulations and related internal regulations.
  • Enforcing the specified target values in the context of making and processing the improvement ideas .
  • Maintaining 100% delivery reliability while minimizing costs.
  • Transparent planning and control of production while optimally implementing the customer's request and maximizing profitability throughout the value chain including associated plants.

  
Individual tasks:    

  • Track the execution of the operational plan for reception and expedition of materials as well as the operations in the warehouse and the supply of materials and collection of finished and semi-finished products to the production lines according to the planning defined in MPS.
  • Fixing the human and material resources necessary for the execution of that plan in line with the objectives defined for those resources at plant level and within a Kaizen dynamic of continuous improvement.
  • Support the total standardization of internal logistics operations developing and implementing a strong management system for them.
  • Establish control, alert and reaction systems in all critical processes of internal logistics
  • Ensure the correct control of inventories in the different locations of the plant  through the timely input of the corresponding transactions in SAP, as well as the execution of a cyclical counting plan and the analysis of both the largest discrepancies found and the recurring discrepancies, and in the definition of actions that eliminate the root causes of such discrepancies converging to the defined objectives of inventory reliability
  • Enforce external as well as internal accident prevention regulations, namely individual safety briefings.

What your background should look like:

  • Master degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or Industrial Engineering
  • Significant experience in Supply Chain & Planning
  • Knowledge of Operations, Manufacturing and Supply Chain processes
  • Strong understanding of SAP
  • Strong analytical skills (Excel)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Travel up to 25%
