Job Overview

Join our GTS team as the Manager of Global Trade Services for ICT in EMEA. Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and support the growth of our ICT Business Unit across all TE locations in EMEA. Collaborate with global trade professionals, champion compliance, manage risks, and drive operational excellence in international trade under the Senior Manager of GTS ICT.

Responsibilities:

  • Trade Compliance Activities:
    • Manage & oversee trade operations and compliance for the assigned BU in EMEA, ensuring adherence to import/export laws.
    • Develop and implement export control processes for Germany, including managing export licenses.
    • Establish and maintain trade operations in alignment with TE policies, procedures and controls in collaboration with BU stakeholders.
    • Represent GTS in BU projects and build relationships to raise awareness of trade compliance.
    • Maintain BU-level Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and reporting to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of the operations.

 

  • Partner with Trade Compliance Professionals and Stakeholders:
    • Monitor trade compliance regulatory & legislative changes and assess their impact on the BU and determine the necessary actions and communications to the appropriate stakeholders, collaborating with GTS Governance.
    • Conduct trade compliance audits and oversee corrective action plans in partnership with GTS Governance.
    • Develop and deliver trade compliance training, leveraging internal resources.
    • Coordinate with operational service centers to facilitate trade while ensuring compliance with regulations.
    • Foster relationships with internal functions to proactively identify trade risks and develop appropriate controls.

What your background should look like:

To excel in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in international business, supply chain, law, or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in global trade compliance, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Knowledge of import/export regulations, especially in Germany, with experience in license management.
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse business groups and foster teamwork.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
