Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Data and Devices Business Unit is currently in search of a dynamic Technical Sales Engineer who will play a crucial role in advocating for TE products and solutions within key semiconductor accounts. The primary responsibility of this role is to develop and implement strategic account plans aimed at fostering profitable growth. This involves effectively utilizing TE's comprehensive portfolio of products, services, and core competencies.

The successful candidate will excel in coordinating support from both Engineering and Product Management teams, ensuring a robust partnership is sustained with influential figures in the data-centric markets. The role demands not only technical expertise but also a strategic approach to drive the success of TE Connectivity in the semiconductor space.

•    Act as the primary technical and commercial liaison between TE Connectivity and the customer.
•    Work in partnership closely with semiconductor partners to optimize TE's position on their reference designs, incorporating both current and future product offerings.
•    Demonstrate strong technical proficiency to independently lead discussions, encompassing both mechanical and electrical aspects, with customers.
•    This role entails a fusion of Technical Sales and System Architecture, playing a pivotal role in advancing product and technology roadmaps.
•    Engage with procurement teams to negotiate opportunities at both local and global levels.
•    Collaborate with TE FAEs (Field Application Engineers) and System Architects, ensuring comprehensive global partnership to position the team as a strategic development partner.
•    Cultivate and sustain relationships at all levels within the customer's organization.
•    Stay abreast of industry trends and competitive dynamics within data-centric markets.
•    Drive sales growth by optimizing resources and executing market segment strategies.
•    Foster effective communication with global team members to champion the business requirements of the customer. 

What your background should look like:

•    A bachelor’s degree in either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is a prerequisite.
•    Possess a minimum of 8 years of experience in Engineering, System Architecture, Product Management, or Technical Sales within the electronics industry, with a preference for candidates with technical expertise.
•    Candidates should have technical knowledge in the development and manufacturing of electronic components.
•    While the position is listed as remote, we prefer the ideal candidate to be based in either the Austin, TX, or Santa Clara, CA areas to facilitate on-site customer engagement, ensuring effective relationships.
•    Proven ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively.
•    Strong social  and negotiating skills are essential.
•    Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must.
•    Willingness and capability to travel as required, approximately 25% of the time.
•    Successful candidates will demonstrate a high level of independence in their work.
•    Exceptional networking, influencing, and listening skills.
•    Experience in reading and interpreting customer drawings.
•    Familiarity with AI, compute, networking, and storage architectures is advantageous.
•    Holding a dual bachelor's degree in business or an MBA is a plus.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $137,520-206,280 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
